Nordic Lodgepole Pine opens up new opportunities
Norsk Limtre is a company with a long tradition in glulam production, offering a wide range of products from interior paneling to decking. Since the early 1990s they have been a customer of SCA, and today they are looking at new ways of using Lodgepole Pine. This partnership combines experience with innovation to develop the wood products of tomorrow.

When cross-country skiing sprint champion Jonna Sundling was growing up in the small village of Tvärålund outside Umeå, the forest was her own domain. Skiing was something she did for fun with her friends and gold medals were beyond her dreams back then.
New wood packaging made with 70% recycled plastic
The packaging around timber packets must protect against damp, dirt and sunlight. It also needs to be durable, so it does not tear during transport. “SCA has started using new packaging consisting of 70 per cent recycled material, without compromising on quality. We are the first on the market with packaging with such a high percentage of recycled plastic,” says Jerry Larsson, President of SCA Wood.
