Forest close to water
SCA is Europe’s largest private forest owner with 2.6 million hectares of forest land in Northern Sweden and approximately 70,000 hectares in the Baltics.

Through an innovative logistics network, we ensure our products traverse from our state-of-the-art mills to our customers with unparalleled efficiency and sustainability. This robust system not only results in superior cost control but also highly reliable deliveries.

Our logistics success begins at our strategically positioned Munksund and Obbola mills in northern Sweden. Backed with Europe’s largest private forest holdings and excellent accessibility via railway, roads, and modern Baltic Sea ports, these locations are the backbone of SCA's efficient logistics chain.

Most finished products are dispatched by sea. For all inter-continental freight cargo is transported in containers on container ships. With three of our specially adapted vessels navigating routes between Umeå, Sundsvall, Kiel, Rotterdam, and London. This setup not only allows for optimal transportation of kraftliner but also facilitates the return of input materials to our operations.

The result? A logistics network so finely tuned, it mitigates risks in the supply chain, even during unpredictable times. SCA’s customers can enjoy the benefits of a sustainable and cost-effective supply chain, ensuring our position as a stable, long-term supplier today, tomorrow, and well into the future.
