Taking the truck towards a fossil-free society

We strive to reduce all fossil emissions - from the management of our forests to the transport of our products to our customers. This year we’re taking another step towards that goal when SCA and Scania together has developed the first electric timber truck with a technical capability of up to 80 tonnes total weight. A contribution to innovative and sustainable solutions.
By running just one electric truck transporting timber to the paper mill in Obbola in the Swedish region of Västerbotten we can prevent 55,000 kg carbon emissions every year.
The aim is that SCA’s value chain is to become fossil-free. SCA’s electrifying road transport is an important part of work to reduce environmental impact – definitely the right way to go towards a fossil-free society.
