Did you know that SCA’s operations are climate positive? There are several initiatives and improvements made in our entire value chain.
Our biggest contribution to combatting climate change is our sustainable and well managed forests. Growing forest binds carbon dioxide from the air. For every mature tree we harvest, 2-3 seedlings are planted.
Combined with higher production of renewable products and investments in sustainable technology, SCA’s climate benefit can increase in the future.
SCA’s operations yielded a positive climate effect of 10.5 million tonnes of CO2 in 2021, which is more than the emissions generated by all passenger cars in Sweden.
The aim is that SCA’s value chain is to become fossil-free. We believe it’s possible.
